GitGitHubVersion Control
I lost work before I learned Git properly. Do not be me. Version control matters even for solo projects.
You only need a handful of commands day to day: status, add, commit, push, and pull. Branches let you try ideas without breaking your main code, and clear commit messages are a gift to your future self.
GitHub is also where recruiters can see your work, so keeping your projects there with a clean history is part of presenting yourself well.
Learn the basics early and the rest comes naturally as your projects grow.
